After the 2017 ICSS Conference, which was where I was present the Dennis Beadles Pre-Service Teacher Award, I started doing some work alongside one of their board members and have continued to help assist him on a few projects for the state. In the spring of 2018, I assisted him in some behind-the-scenes work on the new Indiana Studies course. Over the summer and through the fall of 2018, I also helped him with a program called Indiana Votes where we tried to get students 18-22 registered to vote. I created three different lesson plans for the program which were sent to high school government and economics teachers to use in class if they were participating in the program. Also, there were a few instances where I sat in the ICSS Board Meetings as the Secondary Pre-Service Teacher liaison.
